Ideal Massage Chairs are relatively new to the market. Despite that, the brand and its zero gravity chairs have begun to dominate the budget-friendly massage chair market.

What makes this budget-friendly chair so popular?

The iDeal massage fully featured shiatsu zero gravity which is a good massage chair. However, I feel like the reviews over-delivered this model. I felt completely underwhelmed.

That’s not to say that the chair wasn’t good. It was, the price is great and coincides with the features in this chair.

But I expected a lot more from such a highly reviewed chair, especially since it was compared so much to the Kahuna LM6800. The Kahuna is in a class all on its own within budget-priced model in the market.

I’ve read enough iDeal full-featured shiatsu chair reviews and it led me to a different worthy alternative to the Kahuna LM6800.

Sadly, I was wrong. In this article, I’ll tell you why. But first, let’s take a look at the company that manufactures this model.

About The Ideal Massage Company

The iDeal Massage Company has established itself on the Amazon platform. A quick look at the company’s profile reveals that their customer satisfaction is at 94%. This is relatively high. So you can just imagine why this company caught my eye.

Ideal Logotype

Summary: A quick Amazon search reveals that the iDeal Massage Chair company is relatively eager to please their customers. This means they’ve found a good following for their chairs. However, I feel like they definitely do not live up to the hype.

Ideal Zero Gravity Massage Chair Notable Features & Benefits

IdealMassage Chair

This massage chair features a lot of therapeutic massage modes and massage functions. It is priced at just under $1,500 and features the longest hybrid track in the industry. The company states that this ensures the chair gives the best massage available in the industry.

However, I think that the long hybrid track doesn’t do much better than standard hybrid tracks like those found in the Kahuna LM6800.

Let’s take a quick look at its best features:

Heat Therapy The Ideal Zero Gravity features a heated massage session. It includes your lower back, upper back, and certain parts of your body. This function significantly improves any massage experience. I always opt for a massage chair that features heat therapy because of its benefits. You’ll enjoy feeling revitalized and fully relaxed with the substantial heated massage options on this unit.

Multiple Massage Options – this model comes with multiple massage techniques. Each technique comes with its corresponding “tool.” For example, the kneading feature utilizes kneading balls to maximize your massage therapy session. Its other techniques include Shiatsu, Rolling, and Vibration.

Zero Gravity Ideal Masasge Chair

Three-Stage Zero Gravity – Unlike other massage chairs, you’ll enjoy all three known stages of zero gravity reclining with this massage chair. Although I’m undecided as to how “authentic” the zero-gravity positioning on this model is, ultimately, it does increase the intensity of the massage programs. This allows you to reach a true deep-tissue massage that can be likened to that of the Super Novo.

Manual Modes – this model allows you to custom-tailor your massage experience completely thanks to its manual modes. Coupled with the body scan technology, the rollers are able to accurately locate the curvature of your spine, and you’ll be able to control it in turn. This means you can maximize the whole program that can run for up to 30 minutes at a time.

Four Preset Massage Programs – if you’re not yet sure how to start with your manual massage, you’ll find four massage options that are ready to deliver a truly therapeutic experience. You can choose between any of these programs, knowing that they’ll deliver a human-like massage with ease. Unfortunately, these programs are quite loud despite being marketed as a quieter massage experience.

Remote Control

Advanced 3D Body Scan Technology – this model chair’s body scan technology is accurate enough. It successfully locates the curves of your spine and delivers a good massage session. That said, some of its massage features are not the best. But if you aren’t particularly picky, they’re okay. At least it targets the right parts of your body.

Seamless Massage Setting – you are able to choose a fully customized massage experience by merging multiple programs together. The whole session can be extended up to 30 minutes and can include a mix of the different manual programs available on the massage chair’s interface.

iDeal Shiatsu Chair Warranty & Service

Unsurprisingly, the company is highly regarded for its stellar customer service. That is perhaps the best selling point of this massage chair.

3 Year Limited Warranty

Despite that, I can’t help but wonder why the return period and the warranty itself is insubstantial.

You’ll notice that the chair comes with a standard limited three-year warranty. I feel like this warranty and return policy is insubstantial, to say the least.

Here’s why:

  • The warranty only covers electronic parts and framework. In the event of your chair’s upholstery getting damaged after a few uses, there’s really nothing you can do about it. Not to mention, you’d have to pay for the repairs out of your own pocket, which is ridiculous, to say the least.
  • Returns will be charged a 20% restocking fee. The 10-day return policy is reasonable enough. However, I feel like this doesn’t give you enough time to decide whether the chair has serious problems with its construction. It’s only enough time to decide if you like it or not. On that note, you’ll have to ship it in its original box as well, and they will charge a 20% restocking fee for the inconvenience.

Summary: The company seems to be doing something good in regards to customer service. However, I can’t say I feel assured with the sketchy warranty and return policies they offer.

Can Massage Chairs Be Harmful?

Everyone has played or witnessed someone play with a massage chair, however, if you are too young or your body is not ready for a full-back or head massage, you will get little pain. In the event that you are older, they can cause extensive inflammation. Frequent use of massage chairs can put one’s back in chronic soreness, resulting in discomfort and actual swelling. People who experience pain after leaving a chair do not know why, but many feel that the chair simply isn’t suitable for them and opt for light back rub instead. Some people also feel that the chair is putting too much strain on their back, shoulders, and necks. How Many Times Can One Use The Chair?

You should take ample breaks from a massage chair in order to recover, otherwise, you’ll risk causing even more injury. One single treatment should last no longer than 45 minutes. The chair shouldn’t be used repeatedly, like 30 minutes before and after your workout, because that is enough time to allow you to fully recover. What Are The Possible Health Effects Of Regular Use Of? On the occasion that you use massage chairs multiple times per week, you’ll have to confront the risk of back problems and strain. If your body gets used to the firmness of the chair, your muscles will begin to grow accustomed to the posture. If you continue your massage sessions, you might start to get posture problems, as your muscles are no longer able to support your center of gravity.

What Should I Look for in a Massage Chair?

If you’re on the lookout for a massaging chair, then the most important thing to look for is a chair that can relax you. They are more than just a chair with a massage option. Some have massage options in addition to reclining and other comfort options. Those with reclining options can benefit from a massage chair as well. They come in several different styles, from seats with massage options to ones that allow you to lay down and relax.

You’ll also find a large range of prices for chairs with massage options, from around $250 all the way up to over $800. When choosing a massaging chair, it’s important to look for ones with controls that are easy to reach, as it’s easy to inadvertently hit the massage button accidentally. However, if you need to take breaks during your session, then it’s important that the chair has options for you to get up.

iC-Smart Massage Chair

Each model (standard and adorned) has 4 individually programmable and variable settings. That means that a user will be able to choose what type of massage to perform: firm, light, light/medium, and medium/firm. However, what it means is that when it comes to massaging your back, the only choice you have is whether you want your whole back massaged or just your shoulders and upper back.

Design iC-Smart has a very clean design. It’s elegant, sleek, and very modern. The compact design of the chair is a nice feature that also allows it to travel with you. Since iC-Smart is so compact, there are no tools or devices needed to get it off of the floor, into your car, or at your work desk. The chair has an inner polyurethane chair seat that can be removed and machine washed.

How Long Should You Use a Massage Chair for?

Using a massage chair long-term can really reap benefits. The key is to give it time to reap those rewards, making sure that your workout plan remains consistent with the benefits that you are seeking. The first month of your personal chair time should focus on building endurance and strength, with another month focusing on lean muscle and another month focusing on fullness of motion. Just as with a regular exercise regimen, however, you will eventually want to progress to more challenging exercises such as leg and arm work, or even full bodywork. How Much Should You Be Spending on a Massage Chair?

As a general rule, you should be investing no more than $1,500 to $2,000 on a massage chair. However, with all of the different models on the market, prices vary greatly. The average price of massage chairs is just shy of $1,300 and, in most cases, includes an attached vibration device. Can you Get Great Personalized Massage for Your Back? No, but you can learn to get great personalized back and bodywork at any point in your workout routine. Wheeling & Dealing is the new way to put the power of the ATX into your backside and wallet. With our thorough selection and value pricing, we can ensure that you walk away with a Chair of Choice at the best prices.

What is the Difference Between 2d and 3D Massage Chairs?

Not really. You can say that the design has changed, but not really in the sense of the shape of the massage chair. The massage chair is still there. As you can see, the design hasn’t changed but a new type of seating has been introduced to the market. The difference between massage chairs and stair climber chairs is that in the stair climber chairs, you are literally climbing. The massage chairs on the other hand have a very different position. You sit. And your body is supported by the lower back and by the seat.

The Real Difference Between The IC-DEAL and HumanTouch WHOLEBODY 5.1

The IC-Deal and HumanTouch WholeBody 5.1 are two popular massage chairs that provide a bevy of features and advantages. As they have some commonalities, there exist several distinguishing elements between the two chairs which might play an integral role in selecting the appropriate one for particular individuals.

Design and Appearance

When it comes to design and aesthetics, the IC-Deal stands out. Its modern look is accentuated by its full-body airbag system and zero gravity position for unparalleled comfort. With this massage chair, you won’t just enjoy a luxurious experience – you’ll be taking part in advanced therapeutic treatment.

Not only does the WholeBody 5.1 provide a heating function for additional comfort, but it also features an S-track system that moves with your spine and shiatsu rollers along your calves and feet. Plus, the body map RC makes this massage chair even more convenient! With its traditional design and swivel base, you’ll be sure to get the relaxation experience you desire each time you use it.

Massage Techniques

Compared to the WholeBody 5.1, IC-Deal provides added amenities like a vibration feature for massage on the buttocks and thighs plus an incredibly useful reflexology foot massage that stimulates acupressure points in your feet which results in one of the most restful experiences imaginable. On top of this tranquil luxury, the WholeBody 5.1 offers you its own special touch – a deep-tissue mode designed to efficiently reduce muscle pain and tension with remarkable effectiveness.

Customization Options

Another key difference between the IC-Deal and WholeBody 5.1 is their customization options. The IC-Deal offers users the ability to customize their massage experience with six auto-massage programs and three manual massage modes. It also includes adjustable airbag pressure and speed settings. In addition to five automated massage programs and three manual modes, the WholeBody 5.1 features an adjustable intensity setting and a body map remote control for pinpointed relief.

Price

IC-Deal and WholeBody 5.1 are two mid-range massage chairs, but the former is slightly pricier than the latter; usually at $1,500 compared to $1000 respectively. Both of these can be substantial investments for many people – if you’re after more features as well as customization options, then opting for the IC-Deal may truly be worth its price tag.

The Takeaway

Both the IC-Deal and WholeBody 5.1 are quality massage chairs that offer a range of benefits for relaxation and pain relief. The IC-Deal has a modern design with a vibration feature and reflexology foot massage, while the WholeBody 5.1 has a traditional design with a deep-tissue massage mode and a body map RC. The choice between the two will ultimately depend on individual preferences, needs, and budget.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it OK to Sit in a Massage Chair Everyday?

While it may be tempting to sit in a massage chair every day, it is important to do so in moderation. Excessive use of a massage chair can lead to muscle soreness, bruising, and even injury. It is recommended to limit use to no more than 15-20 minutes per session, 2-3 times per week. Additionally, it is important to listen to your body and adjust the intensity and frequency of use as needed. It is always a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider before using a massage chair regularly, especially if you have any preexisting medical conditions.

Is it Worth Buying Massage Chair?

Whether it is worth buying a massage chair depends on individual preferences, needs, and circumstances. To make an informed decision, it’s essential to consider several factors:

  1. Health Benefits: Massage chairs offer a range of health benefits, including stress reduction, muscle relaxation, improved circulation, and pain relief. If you suffer from chronic pain, muscle tension, or stress-related ailments, a massage chair can provide therapeutic benefits that may justify the investment.
  2. Cost vs. Frequency of Use: The cost of a massage chair can be substantial, and it’s crucial to assess how often you will use it. If you plan to use the chair frequently, it may offer better value over time compared to regular visits to a massage therapist.
  3. Convenience: Owning a massage chair provides the convenience of receiving a massage in the comfort of your home at any time. This can be particularly valuable for those with busy schedules or mobility limitations.
  4. Customization: Many massage chairs offer customizable massage programs and intensity levels, allowing you to tailor the experience to your preferences. This level of customization can be appealing to those who have specific massage needs.
  5. Long-Term Investment: High-quality massage chairs are built to last and can provide years of service. If you view it as a long-term investment in your well-being and relaxation, it may be worth the upfront cost.
  6. Alternative Therapies: Consider whether there are more cost-effective alternatives to achieving the same benefits. Regular visits to a massage therapist or spa may offer similar results without the initial expense of a massage chair.
  7. Space and Aesthetics: Massage chairs can be bulky and may not fit well in all living spaces. Consider whether you have enough room for the chair and whether it complements your home’s aesthetics.
  8. Budget: Your financial situation plays a crucial role in determining whether a massage chair is worth it. Evaluate your budget and assess whether you can comfortably afford the purchase without compromising other essential expenses.
  9. Try Before You Buy: If possible, try out different massage chairs before making a decision. This can help you assess comfort, features, and whether the chair meets your expectations.

In conclusion, the worthiness of buying a massage chair varies from person to person. If you value the convenience, health benefits, and long-term use of a massage chair and it aligns with your budget and lifestyle, it can be a worthwhile investment in your well-being and relaxation. However, it’s essential to carefully evaluate your specific needs and circumstances before making a purchase to ensure it aligns with your overall goals and priorities.

How Much Does a Tebo Chair Cost?

The cost of a Tebo Chair can vary depending on factors such as the specific model, features, and any additional accessories included. Generally, Tebo Chairs are priced competitively compared to other massage chair brands on the market. Prices typically range from around $1,000 to $5,000 or more, with some high-end models reaching upwards of $10,000. The variation in price reflects differences in massage capabilities, build quality, design aesthetics, and technological features such as zero gravity recline, heat therapy, and adjustable massage intensity. Potential buyers should consider their budget, desired features, and individual preferences when choosing a Tebo Chair model. Additionally, it’s advisable to compare prices from various retailers or authorized dealers to ensure the best value for the desired model.

Is The Tebo Bed Worth It?

Determining whether the Tebo Bed is worth the investment depends on individual needs, preferences, and expectations. Tebo Beds offer a range of features designed to enhance sleep quality and overall well-being, including adjustable firmness levels, zero gravity positioning, massage therapy, and temperature control.

For individuals seeking improved sleep quality and comfort, the Tebo Bed’s adjustable firmness settings can be beneficial. Customizable support allows users to find the optimal level of firmness to promote spinal alignment and alleviate pressure points, potentially leading to better sleep posture and reduced discomfort.

Additionally, the zero gravity positioning feature aims to distribute body weight evenly, reducing strain on the spine and promoting relaxation. This position may be particularly beneficial for individuals with back pain or circulation issues.

The inclusion of massage therapy functionality adds another dimension of relaxation and potential pain relief. Massage features can help soothe sore muscles, alleviate tension, and promote relaxation before bedtime, contributing to a more restful sleep experience.

Temperature control features, such as cooling or heating options, may also enhance sleep comfort by regulating body temperature and creating an optimal sleep environment.

However, the decision to invest in a Tebo Bed should consider factors such as budget, existing sleep quality, and individual preferences. While Tebo Beds offer advanced features and potential benefits, they come with a significant financial investment compared to traditional mattresses.

Ultimately, individuals should weigh the potential benefits of improved sleep quality, comfort, and wellness against the cost of the Tebo Bed and alternative sleep solutions. Consulting with healthcare professionals or trying out the bed in person, if possible, can help inform the decision and determine whether the Tebo Bed aligns with specific sleep needs and preferences.

Conclusion. What is the Best Alternative?

Suffice it to say that the iDeal did not meet my expectations. I feel like it was severely hyped up because of the stellar customer service, and most of the reviews come from users who have not encountered a better chair.

That said, it definitely does not measure up to the Kahuna LM6800. At its best, it does offer some of the same features you can find on the Kahuna. However, they’re not as well-executed.

Here’s why:

  • The iDeal Shiatsu Chair features a good enough arm massage. However, its design makes it so that your arms often pop out during the duration of your massage. Whereas you are unlikely to encounter this problem with the Kahuna.
  • The iDeal chair’s neck positioning is quite uncomfortable. It’s very counterproductive at any point in the massage to have to readjust your neck or use a different pillow for neck support. On the contrary, the Kahuna features a plush headrest that sufficiently supports your neck.
  • The foot massage is okay. The kneading balls are not very effective and would have been better if rollers were used in their place. The Kahuna, on the other hand, gives a very substantial foot massage that can effectively relax your feet while releasing tension.
  • The iDeal is also quite loud. Coupled with the insubstantial neck support, this makes me feel like I’m trying to fit into a lower-model massage chair without 3D technology. In fact, I’ve sat on some of the more “primitive” massage chairs before, and they all felt better than this chair. The loud noise comes from the transitions of the chair. It’s distracting, to say the least.

Ultimately, I would not recommend that you choose the iDeal Massage chair over the Kahuna LM6800. If you haven’t heard of the Kahuna yet, you should look into it.

.

It’s slightly more expensive, but it’s ultimately the better massage chair.

Summary: The iDeal Shiatsu is an okay investment. It’s priced reasonably. However, it comes with a set of very alarming challenges. Such discrepancies aren’t ideal for massage chairs since it severely limits the therapeutic effects of the chair itself. If you’re looking for a truly therapeutic massage chair with most of the same features, but with better execution, the Kahuna LM6800 is your best bet.
